myfxpaddy Candlestick Gain/Loss Info Indicator

 myfxpaddy Candlestick Gain/Loss Info MetaTrader indicator displays gains and losses for all candles where the specified threshold is exceeded. It calculates changes in points and percentages, offering two modes: comparing the current Close to the previous Close or the current Close to the current Open. This indicator is compatible with both MT4 and MT5.

Input Parameters

• PercentageLimit (default = 1.0): Minimum threshold for change display in percentage points.

• PointsLimit (default = 1000): Minimum threshold for change display in points.

• CloseToClose (default = true): If true, compares the current Close to the previous Close; if false, compares the current Close to the current Open.

• DisplayLossColor (default = clrRed): Color for displaying negative price changes.

• DisplayGainColor (default = clrGreen): Color for displaying positive price changes.

• MaxBars (default = 100): Maximum number of bars to calculate the indicator on. Higher values may cause lag.

• FontFace (default = “Verdana”): Font face for display.

• FontSize (default = 10): Font size for display.

• ObjectPrefix (default = “GLI-”): Prefix for chart objects for compatibility with other indicators.

Gain/Loss Info Example

The chart above demonstrates the myfxpaddy Candlestick Gain/Loss Info Indicator applied to GBP/USD @ W1. The percentage limit was set to 1.0% and the pips limit was set to 1,500 pips. The calculation mode was “Close vs. previous Close.” Points change for the period is displayed below candles, with percentage change above candles.

This indicator is primarily used for market analysis and identifying bullish and bearish patterns. While it may not directly generate trading signals, abnormal changes in data can still be used for potential entry or exit signals.
